gm commercial: terrific
diet coke "encore" commercial: awesome (in a totally girly kind of way)
playing music throughout the acceptance speeches: bad idea

i found the behind-the-scenes banter to be better than the show.
i think i'll agreee with that.
watched the re-run last night. my thoughts:
* the "political ads" were a great jon stewart touch.
* memoirs of a geisha star, ziyi zhang, was stunning.
* really? crash? best film?
* i can live with reese witherspoon winning an oscar
* yay for director ang lee. i like him.
